Job Profile
The City of Cambridge has an opening for a Traffic Engineering Technologist in the Community Development Department – Engineering & Transportation Services Division available immediately. Reporting to the Manager of Transportation Engineering, the following duties will apply:
What you will be doing
• Review, analyze, and make recommendations related to transportation and parking issues/concerns from the general public, senior management, other agencies and Council. • Coordinate, deliver and develop solutions for the City’s Traffic Safety and Speed Management programs • Coordinate the City’s Data Collection program, includes updating all required data in TES and data analysis. • Update by-laws and draft council reports • Regular correspondence through written and verbal communications and represents the city at various meetings. • Administration of the City’s Crossing Guard program (coverage, studies, contract management • Contract administration
Education
• 3-year College diploma in Transportation Engineering Technology or related field.
Experience and Knowledge
• Registration (or eligibility) with OACETT with designation of Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T)
• Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), GIS, Bluebeam, Maximo, TES (Traffic Engineering Software), software programs related to specific traffic equipment (radar message boards, Miovision, etc).

Your compensation
This position is within Grade 10 of the inside workers union salary schedule and has an annual salary range of $77,612 – $82,486. Comprehensive benefits package included and enrolment in Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System (OMERS).
