The Transportation Modelling Symposium is intended to provide examples of transportation modelling analysis applications used in recent projects, with discussion of the level of modelling analysis, an explanation of why the modelling application level was appropriate to be applied, the desired information that was being sought, technical requirements and challenges, how the results were used to make project decisions and recommendations, and how that information was presented to senior management, non-technical decision makers, and the general public. The sessions will focus on traffic and transportation topics covering macro, meso and microsimulation traffic modelling analysis applications.

The overall symposium objective is to broaden understanding of the application and use of traffic analysis using macro, meso, and microsimulation modelling for both practitioners and non-practitioners, the information that it can provide, and the role it plays in project study outcomes. The symposium would be of interest to managers, engineers, planners, and senior staff who undertake or are presented with the outputs and results of this work to make informed decisions.

This workshop will take place over two 1/2 days from November 26-27, 2020.

CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY –

OTC’s cancellation policy has been amended temporarily to provide flexibility for in-person events due to COVID-19.

  • Should a registrant decide to cancel attendance at an in-person event based on concerns around health or travel during the COVID-19 situation, OTC will provide a credit to the registrant should they cancel for this reason. Rescheduling to another event will be charged an admin fee of $75. Substitutions within 2 business days at no cost.
  • If a registrant would like to cancel and require a refund, the registration fee less 50% will be refunded.
  • If OTC must cancel an event, a full refund will be issued to registrants.
