Course Purpose
Ontario Traffic Manual Book 18 – Cycling Facilities is the primary design resource used by municipalities throughout Ontario. Since the first edition was published in 2014, design of cycling facilities has quickly evolved. The new OTM Book 18 provides practitioners with an updated toolbox, informed by the most current research and lessons learned, to plan and implement cycling networks and infrastructure. Through presentations from experts, hands-on exercises and group discussions, this course will provide an opportunity to learn about best practices and emerging design solutions that can help build connected cycling network that appeal to all ages and abilities.
Who Should Attend?
This course will be valuable for a range of practitioners including planners, engineers, technologists, maintenance and operations staff, landscape architects, public health officials, and others involved in the implementation and management of roadways and cycling facilities.

CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY –
OTC’s cancellation policy has been amended temporarily to provide flexibility for in-person events due to COVID-19.
- Should a registrant decide to cancel attendance at an in-person event based on concerns around health or travel during the COVID-19 situation, or cancel attendance to an online event, OTC will provide a credit to the registrant. Rescheduling to another event will be charged an admin fee of $75. Substitutions within 2 business days at no cost.
- If a registrant would like to cancel and require a refund, the registration fee less 50% will be refunded.
- If OTC must cancel an event, a full refund will be issued to registrants.
