Nelson Cadete is Project Manager, Active Transportation with the City of Brampton. Nelson is a graduate of the Transportation Engineering Technology program at Mohawk College of Applied Arts and Science and has worked in the transportation/traffic engineering industry for more than 17 years in both the public and private sector. Over his career, Nelson has held a number of positions in varying disciplines including transportation planning, traffic control signals, municipal parking and traffic operations. Nelson was previously a member of the Ontario Traffic Council (OTC) Parking Committee and is now a member of the Active Transportation Committee. He joined the Board of Directors in 2009 and he has held the positions of Director of Engineering, Vice President and is the current President of the OTC. When Nelson is not working he can be found coaching baseball, or playing football.
